We wouldn’t pretend to be amongst those specialist Malt Whisky bars dotted around Scotland, presenting 300 to 500 malts each, but we feel our selection of 160 or thereabouts will give you scope to either investigate or indulge yourself with some well kent aromas.
Be assured that when a Shetland Malt becomes available and of drinking age, we shall proudly offer it, but in the meantime we offer a selection of 8 from Orkney, ranging from a 12 y.o. Scapa to a cask strength 25 y.o. Highland Park.
From Islay a selection of 16 or so from all 8 distilleries, including a 1982 Port Ellen (closed – for ever- in 1989).
And the rest – from all over and all ages – be it a 50 y.o. Smith’s Glenlivet or a 12y.o. Millburn from New Zealand (recommended) or Suntory from Japan (in our modest opinion, not so great!)
Relax with a peaty Islay malt in front of our open peat fire and then drift off to bed…...
